he interactive discussions will explore the realities of life on campus, how to prepare and what needs to change to improve the experience including:

Academic Supports - What are they and why are they necessary?

Campus Life - How accessible are our campuses?

Preparing for Post-Secondary - A panel discussion with current post-secondary students with special needs providing ‘real-life’ advice.


Registration is open
to Grade 11 and above students with special needs, parents/caregivers, post-secondary faculty, staff, school board guidance counsellors, SEAC members and board and agency professionals.

Agenda:

Guest speaker: Irwin Elman, Provincial Advocate for Children and Youth.
Panel Discussion and Q and A: Moderated panel discussion with current post-secondary students with special needs and post-secondary representatives

World Café: To allow youth/families the opportunity to have individual conversations with the speakers.
